- engineered bamboo flooring – to increase a natural bamboo floor’s durability this type of flooring is created from several layers of bamboo strips.
Potential problems with bamboo flooring?
With all it’s advantages bamboo is not a totally problem-free flooring solutions and similar to timber floors it needs proper maintenance to keep it in good condition.
The most common bamboo flooring problems are:
- contraction and expansion can happen as a result of too much moisture
- staining – this can be prevented by applying wax or a polyurethane protective coating to the surface of the floor.
